2026 CSFL Week #5 Honorees

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 26, 2026) – Following its mid-season
bye week, the 2026 Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) season returned to
action this past weekend with several games featuring terrific individual
performances. The league released its Week No. 5 honorees on Monday, as
announced by Commissioner Dan Mara.
The highlight of this week’s honorees were D’Youville
University earning its first weekly CSFL award in program history as Jayvon
Johnson was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Peter von Schoenermarck,
Molloy)
Peter von Schoenermarck exploded for four touchdowns in Molloy’s 42-20 win over
D’Youville on Friday night. He caught a trio of TD passes that went for nine,
45 and 68 yards. He also rushed for 16 yards and a touchdown. It marked a
program record for most TDs in a single game. Von Schoenermarck had 147 total
yards receiving and 163 yards of total offense.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Drake Murrell, Navy)
Drake Murrell helped spearhead an outstanding defensive effort by the Mids in a
victory over Cornell on Friday afternoon. Murrell logged seven tackles,
including two for loss and a sack. Navy limited Cornell to just 131 yards of
total offense.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Jayvon Johnson, D’Youville)
Jayvon Johnson proved to be electric in the kick return game for the Saints
versus Molloy on Friday. He returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown in the
setback and had 157 yards in kick returns on four attempts. He also had a
76-yard touchdown reception in the game.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK (Griffin Walter, Chestnut Hill)
Griffin Walter completed 22-of-28 passes for 233 yards and four touchdown
passes in CHC’s shootout win over Caldwell. He also rushed for 113 yards and
had 346 yards of total offense in the win.
HONOR ROLL
Josh Smith (Caldwell) – Threw for 273 yards and 3 TDs against Chestnut Hill.
Kyle West (Army West Point) – 16-of-21 passing for 151 yards
& 3 TDs; added rush TD in win vs. STAC.
Hunter Gennicks (Navy) – Rushed 13 times for 120 yards and a
TD against Cornell.
Xavier Limehouse (Chestnut Hill) – Rushed for 185 yards and
a TD versus Caldwell.
Unique Jackson (D’Youville) – Logged 8 tackles including 3.0
TFL against Molloy.
Riley Stidham (Chestnut Hill) – Made 5 tackles, 2.0 TFL and
a sack in win against Caldwell.
