Navy's Hunter Gennicks Named 2025 CSFL MVP

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 17, 2025) -- Navy running back Hunter Gennicks on Wednesday was named the 2025 Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Most Valuable Player, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Gennicks earned the honor just days after being named the CSFL Offensive Player of the Year and to the All-CSFL First Team. Voting for the MVP award was conducted by the nine head coaches in the sport.
Gennicks rushed for 1,188 yards and 13 touchdowns during the 2025 campaign and helped guide the Midshipmen to the CSFL Championship for the fourth time in the last five seasons. He averaged 148.5 yards per game on the ground and posted 6.9 yards per rush.
Gennicks was placed on the All-CSFL First Team at running back for the second time in as many seasons. He carried the rock for 137 yards in the season finale at Army West Point, where the Mids pulled out an overtime win to raise the league crown.
