2025 CSFL Week #8 Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 10, 2025) – The penultimate
week of the 2025 Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) season saw several strong
individual performances across a variety of teams. The announcement of the Week
#8 honorees was made on Monday by CSFL Commissioner Dan Mara.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Josh Johnson, Penn)
Johnson accounted for both touchdowns in Penn’s 14-0 win over Molloy. He passed for 184 yards including completing a 38-yard touchdown pass. He also rushed for a score.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Ibrahim Conteh, St. Thomas Aquinas)
Conteh returned a second-quarter interception 24 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter as it proved to be the game-winning score in an 18-17 come-from-behind win over Cornell on Friday. He also recorded five tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Jacori Sutton, Navy)
Sutton was a perfect 8-for-8 in extra-point attempts to help lead Navy to a 56-14 win over Caldwell on Friday.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK (Weston Bellows, Mansfield)
Bellows accounted for 148 yards of total offense in a narrow setback to Army. He rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns while also collecting one pass for 28 yards.
HONOR ROLL
Marek Arbogast (Army West Point) – Had three
catches for 95 yards and a score in the 21-14 win over Mansfield.
Jackson Taylor (Mansfield) – Recorded 19
tackles versus Army.
Hunter Gennicks (Navy) – Rushed for 131 yards
and three touchdowns versus Caldwell.
Sean Bettwy (Navy) – Returned an INT 68 yards
for a touchdown against Caldwell.
Gavin Griswold (Penn) – Had a team-high nine
tackles and a sack in shutout win over Molloy.
Damari Hamilton (St. Thomas Aquinas) – Rushed for
130 yards and a touchdown in the win over Cornell.
Arjun Petgrave (Caldwell) – Had 10 grabs for
107 yards against Navy and becoming program’s single-game, single-season and
career receptions leader in the process.
