
2025 CSFL Week #5 Honorees

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 20, 2025) – The Collegiate Sprint
Football League (CSFL) on Monday announced its weekly honorees from Week #5 as
several teams recorded big wins entering the second half of the season. The weekly honorees were announced by CSFL Commissioner Dan Mara.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Hunter Gennicks, Navy)
Gennicks rushed for a career-high 276 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Midshipmen to a huge South Division win over Chestnut Hill, 28-17, on Friday night. One of his TD runs went for 72 yards as he accounted for 88% of Navy’s 313 rushing yards. Gennicks also hauled in a five-yard touchdown reception.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Mick Tabor, Navy)
Tabor helped spearhead a defensive effort that held CHC scoreless in the second half in a 28-17 triumph. He totaled eight tackles, 2.5 TFL, one sack and recovered a pair of fumbles. Tabor posted six of his eight tackles in the second half.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK (Trevon Washington, St. Thomas Aquinas)
Washington returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown versus Mansfield. It was one of his two touchdowns in the game as he also caught a 27-yard touchdown pass.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK (Hector Lopez III, Caldwell)
Lopez turned in a strong game in helping the Cougars to a 40-7 win over Molloy. He logged six tackles, including two sacks, and forced a fumble.
HONOR ROLL
Kyle West (Army West Point) – Completed 12-of-15 passes for
188 yards and 4 TDs in a 49-9 win over Cornell. Also had a rushing TD.
Jameil Lawrence (Caldwell) – Completed 7-of-11 passes in the
first half for 120 yards and 3 touchdowns in a victory over Molloy.
Damian Tavares (Caldwell) – Made a game-high 11 tackles,
plus a sack, while forcing a fumble and recovering another in a win over
Molloy.
