2025 CSFL Week #2 Honorees

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (September 29, 2025) -- Week 2 of the 2025 Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Season provided several outstanding individual performances as Commissioner Dan Mara announced on Monday the four weekly award winners from this past Friday-Saturday. The highlight of the weekly award winners was Molloy University's Ayden Das who was named the league's rookie of the week for his strong defensive effort in helping to guide the Lions to the first win in program history with a 16-6 triumph over Cornell.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – HUNTER GENNICKS (Navy)

Gennicks toted the rock 23 times for 234 yards (10.2 ypc) and scored a pair of touchdowns to help lead Navy to a 28-7 win at St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday night. His two TD runs came from 71 yards and 21 yards out. His second touchdown run proved to be the game-winning score for the Mids. Gennicks was not tackled for loss on any of his carries and also caught a pair of balls for 15 yards.

 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JAKE WOLINSKI (Navy)

Wolinski logged seven tackles including 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack while intercepting a pair of passes and returning one for a score in a 28-7 road win at St. Thomas Aquinas.


SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – NIC MALLON (Caldwell)

Mallon was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra-point attempts to help the Cougars battle tough against Chestnut Hill.


ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – AYDEN DAS (Molloy)

Das logged a team-high eight tackles while forcing two QB hurries to spearhead a terrific defensive effort as Molloy earned the first win in program history with a 16-6 triumph over Cornell. The Lions limited the Big Red to just 56 yards rushing.

 

HONOR ROLL

Anthony Cancellare (Chestnut Hill) – Passed for 277 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Caldwell.

Lex Williams (Chestnut Hill) – Made a game-high 10 tackles in a win versus Caldwell.

Jameil Lawrence (Caldwell) – Completed 25-of-29 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns against Chestnut Hill. Ran for 127 yards.

Brandon Jimenez (STAC) – Recorded nine tackles, 1.5 TFL, one sack and forced a fumble against Navy.

Paulie Drummond (Molloy) – Passed for 108 yards and rushed for 106 yards to help lead Molloy its first-ever win in a 16-6 triumph against Cornell.

Alexei DiDonato (Cornell) – Logged nine tackles, 3.5 TFL, one sack, one pass breakup and a QB hurry against Molloy.

Joey Ciccotelli (Caldwell) – Caught nine passes for 65 yards and two TDs versus Chestnut Hill.
